6 Straight Wins for Guinea Pigs
|
It was a good time at Experimental Stadium, where fans came to watch the Gulf Coast Turbeaus and Gwinnett Guinea Pigs get after it.
Gwinnett third baseman Justin Schock had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 9-6. Francisco Díaz converted his 12th save in 16 tries.
Schock had a key at-bat for Gwinnett early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 35th hit of the season and gave Gwinnett an early 2-0 lead.
"I like our moxie," said Guinea Pigs manager Enrique Fuentes.
Gwinnett has run its win streak to 6 in a row.
