Bullets Rally For Late Win Over Cattlemen
The Bullets had to overcome a fine effort from Ft. Worth pitcher José Ruíz to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Baltimore Grounds. Ruíz went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Baltimore reliever Tom Peña picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. José Ruíz absorbed the loss. The Cattlemen, now 29-57, have lost 10 in a row.

Kameron Guangorena, who finished 3rd in the PL in slugging percentage with .578 in 2040, aided the Baltimore cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the catcher drove in one run.

In comments to the Baltimore Today, Guangorena admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
