Polkinghorne Helps Tacoma Cruise to 14-3 Win
Benefiting from Nathan Polkinghorne's productive game, the Tacoma Fur Traders downed the Casper Ghosts, 14-3. Polkinghorne was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Fur Traders. Pedro Montáñez picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 3-2. The last-place Fur Traders improved to 19-30.

Polkinghorne contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Tacoma in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Polkinghorne took a fastball from Otton Asmus and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Fur Traders to leap in front, 5-2.
