Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Whales
Virginia Beach beat Squirrel Hill at Virginia Beach Grounds, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Ronald Fritz, who earned player of the game honors. The Whales, at 24-22, sit in 6th place in the Silver AA.

Virginia Beach took a 5-4 lead on Scott Beavis's 11th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Beavis hit in the bottom of the 13th, left Squirrel Hill pitcher Carlos Guerrero visibly frustrated.

Fritz described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
