Battery Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Charleston Battery racked up a win at Beyond the Wall, bumping off the Buffalo White Walkers, 6-2. Miguel Angel Martínez, who started for Charleston, pitched effectively for his team. The slumping White Walkers have dropped 9 in a row.
Tied up with the White Walkers in the top of the fourth inning, the Battery got a boost from right fielder Mariano Juderías. With the bases loaded, Juderías saw a 2-0 changeup from José Pacheco and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Charleston on top, 1-0.
Juderías told a Charleston Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
