Rails Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus Minnesota
The Richland Rails beat the Minnesota Loons, 8-4, at Loony Bin. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Greg Ge, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Richland reliever Frank Wilson picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-3. Vicente Dávila was collared with the loss. Richland has a 3-game win streak, while Minnesota has lost 3 in a row.

Richland used the timely hitting of Javier Botín to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rails on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We maximized our offense today," said Richland skipper Fernando Mendoza. "That makes everyone's life easier."
