Getting a good performance from third baseman Melvin Thomas, the Charleston Battery defeated the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-4. Thomas was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Battery. Buffalo's current losing streak is now 8 games.
