The Billings Polar Bears eked out a 6-5 win versus the Yakima Hops at The Igloo. Nobody did more than pitcher Arturo Cuellar, who captured player of the game honors. Cuellar went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 1-3. Jeremy Fulton earned the save, his 9th, for the Polar Bears.
Roberto Guerrero, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in home runs with 16, contributed to the Billings win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Guerrero told the Billings Chronicle.
Billings, now 51-42, holds third place in the Menard's AA.
