Rails Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Saboteurs
|
The Richland Rails trumped the Toledo Saboteurs, 4-3, at Rails Ballpark. Richland first baseman Tony Moore was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. At 50-43, the Rails find themselves in 5th place in the Menard's AA.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Richland trailing 3-2, Moore hit a fastball from Augusto Jaramillo for a 2-run home run, giving the Rails the walk-off win.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Toledo manager Will Thomas, "let me know."
