Rails Stymie Toledo, Take 6-0 Win
|
Toledo had no answer for Richland Rails hurler Juan Capmany, who overwhelmed Saboteurs hitters as the Rails coasted to a 6-0 victory. The 8th-place Saboteurs have lost 4 straight games.
Tony Moore had a big run-scoring double for the Rails in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Richland leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Hakumele Apelama and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rails ahead, 2-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Capmany told the Richland Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
