Left-hander Steve Walden mesmerized the Kingston Mangos while leading the Yucca Valley Yellows to a 1-0 victory. The win was Rick Baker's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Vicente Castro took the loss for Kingston. Danny Kas earned the save for Yucca Valley, his 3rd of the year.

Yucca Valley took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, center fielder Cecil Hanson hit a solo home run that electrified the crowd.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Hanson.

The loss lowers the Kingston record to 1-4.
