The Marquette Miners got a sterling performance from pitcher Jason Reynolds, but the Loons still prevailed, 3-1. Reynolds was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings allowing 3 runs. The Loons improve their record to 44-42 with the win over Marquette.

Minnesota grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Dan Barnes delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Loons.
