Farmers Suffer 5-2 Setback

The 2043 season is getting ugly for Lancaster.
The Billings Polar Bears defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 5-2, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field, with Billings pitcher Allen Brown named player of the game. In 6 innings, Brown surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Jeremy Fulton closed the game out for Billings, earning his 6th save.
Kelvin Schmidt put Billings in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Kyle Greene in the top of the third. It was his 9th home run of the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Schmidt, "and today was a good one for us."
At 44-37, Billings is in 4th place in the Menard's AA.
