Rails first baseman Tony Moore put his stamp on his team's 5-3 win over the Marquette Miners. Moore went 4-4 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for Richland in the contest. Richland reliever Miguel Bruno got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Jeff Moore was tagged with the loss. Richland is now 42-35.

Richland used the timely hitting of Emosi Whiu to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rails on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Richland manager Fernando Mendoza. "It's usually not just one thing."
