Rails Solve Blue Sox, 5-2
|
Richland pitcher Frank Wilson did his part in helping his team beat the Irving Blue Sox, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Rails saw their win-loss record go to 40-33. At the same time, the Blue Sox fell to 33-40.
It could have been a different outcome for Richland, had it not been for Greg Howard, the 23-year old second baseman . Howard contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Richland up, 1-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Howard said.
