Rails Come Up Short at Billings
The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to sneak past the Richland Rails, 1-0, at The Igloo. Billings pitcher Allen Brown earned player of the game honors. Brown went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 7-3. Jeremy Fulton earned the save for Billings, his 4th of the year.

Roberto Guerrero tagged a home run off Ashley Blamey in the bottom of the second. His solo blast put the Polar Bears on top, 1-0. In all, Guerrero had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Richland skipper Fernando Mendoza.

The win puts the Polar Bears at 37-34, while the Rails drop to 39-32.
