Watson Helps Lancaster Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
Lancaster center fielder Jeremy Watson had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 11-3 win over the Richland Rails. The Farmers now have a record of 23-37.
Lancaster used the timely hitting of Dave Young to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Farmers ahead, 7-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Watson told a Lancaster News reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
