Blue Sox Walk It Off for 26th Win of Season
Extra frames were needed to settle this game between the Irving Blue Sox and Marquette Miners.

The Blue Sox had to overcome a good performance from Marquette pitcher Jason Reynolds to claim a 5-2 win at Blue Sox Ballpark. Reynolds went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Irving reliever John Ellis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jeff Moore took the loss.

Irving won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Jeff Moore on the mound for Marquette, pinch hitter Ánibal Leobardo hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Blue Sox fans to their feet.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Irving manager Dave Lee.

Irving currently is in 9th place in the Menard's AA at 26-31.
