Bram Slugs Saboteurs to 3-1 Win
|
Nathan Bram made an impact in the 3-1 Toledo win over Lancaster. Bram, who leads the 3AA in home runs with 17, was 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. David Graham, the winner, improved to 6-3. He held the Farmers to no earned runs on 1 hit over 6.2 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 4. The 7th-place Saboteurs are now 29-28, the Farmers 21-36.
With Toledo leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Bram hit a solo home run off Lancaster hurler Ralph Hanscombe. It was the 17th home run of the season for Bram and put his team ahead, 2-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bram.
