The Richland Rails got a stellar performance from pitcher Ashley Blamey, who handcuffed the Minnesota offense en route to a 1-0 win at Loony Bin. Blamey went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Minnesota's current losing streak is now 4 games.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when left fielder Kazuki Takahashi, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA in RBI with 36, drew a walk. The Rails went on to win.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Richland manager Fernando Mendoza said.
