Polar Bears Mow Down Highlanders, 13-4
The Asheville Highlanders and Billings Polar Bears brought some excitement to Asheville Park.

Billings first baseman Kelvin Schmidt played a vital role in his team's 13-4 triumph over Asheville. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for Billings. The Polar Bears bumped their record to 29-24 with this latest triumph.

Billings relied on the hitting of Roberto Guerrero to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Polar Bears on top, 3-0. For the game, Guerrero had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We'll savor this win," Guerrero told the Billings Chronicle, "then get ready for the next game."
