Rails Stick Love Boats with 3-1 Loss
|
Richland Rails starter Tim Smith turned in an exceptional performance against the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Heron Field, resulting in a Richland win, 3-1. Miguel Bruno locked down his 12th save. The first-place Rails have a one-game lead in their division.
Helping the Richland cause was Emosi Whiu. In the top of the third, the 27-year old left fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 2-0, Rails.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Whiu said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
