Rubén Santana never let the Love Boats get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Highlanders to a 4-0 win. Asheville is 7th in the Menard's AA with a record of 14-14.

The Highlanders got a big at-bat from right fielder Amani Marwan. For the game, Marwan was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Asheville a 3-0 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Marwan told the Asheville Gazette.
