The Brass had to overcome a fine performance from Syracuse pitcher Billy Craig to grab a 6-3 win at The Zoo in Syracuse. Craig allowed 3 earned runs over 7.1 innings. The second-place Brass have won 7 in a row.

Baton Rouge used the timely hitting of Luis García to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Brass on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We did a lot of things right," said García.
