Polar Bears Beat Hops in 10
|
Yakima second baseman Millard Morris had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-6, to Billings at Hops Park. Morris hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Billings reliever António Gallegos picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Mark Edwards was saddled with the loss. The Polar Bears now have a record of 17-10.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Edward Johnson hit a full count slider from Cory Harmon for a 2-run single. It put Billings in front, 8-6.
"I like our resilience," said Johnson.
