|
The Asheville Highlanders topped the Toledo Saboteurs by the score of 9-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman José Portiz. Portiz went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Highlanders on the day. Rubén Santana earned the win for Asheville. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 2.
