Big Day by Kennedy Ignites Farmers Win
|
Lancaster first baseman Caleb Kennedy was instrumental in his team's 7-3 win over the Marquette Miners. Kennedy, who is tied for 6th in the 3AA in doubles with 7, went 4-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Farmers. The Miners fall to 7-10 and continue their uneven start to the 2043 season.
Lancaster took a 7-3 lead on Kennedy's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Dennis van Putten in the top of the eighth, propelled Lancaster to the win.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Lancaster manager Dylan Smith.
