Rainbeaus Come Up Short at Monongahela

Kansas wasted a solid 6.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Joe Yoder, losing to Monongahela, 2-1, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Santiago Ramírez, credited with the win, is now 8-6. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 6.1 innings. Robert Erickson got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning. Facing Kansas hurler Joe Yoder, Colt Allen, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 17, drew a walk. The Monsters went on to win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Allen told the Monongahela Daily.
The Monsters saw their record improve to 45-45.
