Marquette Miners starter Herman Griffin was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Lancaster Farmers, 3-2. The Farmers fall to 6-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2043.

Had Bob Blough not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Blough hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Miners.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Marquette manager Christos Galpin. "Our pregame was pretty good."
