Rainbeaus Raise Rally Flag, Beat Pennsauken, 5-3
|
The Rainbeaus had to overcome a fine effort from Pennsauken pitcher Kimmo-Mikka Jokinen to grab a narrow 5-3 win at Pennsauken Park. Jokinen went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Chao Khu got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.2 innings. Von Hansen, credited with the save, is now 6 for 9 in save opportunities.
Kansas relied on the hitting of Jorge Indiano to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rainbeaus on top, 4-3. For the game, Indiano had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It was a good effort all around," said Indiano.
Kansas, at 43-41, sits in 5th place in the Silver AAA.
