Detroit right-hander Eric Colquhoun made an effective start against the Nashville Outlaws at Detroit Stadium, leading his team to a 7-1 win. The 'W' lifts Detroit's record to 49-57.

Early in the game, third baseman Shimei Miura had a 2-run single for Detroit. It was his 121st hit of the season and put the Elite on top, 2-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Miura after the game.
