Russell Hamilton had a good game, but he could not keep the Nashville Outlaws from falling, 6-4, to the Nova Scotia Leviathan at Nashville Stadium. The Nashville designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk in the loss. Zuo-lin Liang, credited with the win, is now 3-4. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 7.1 innings. Corbin Holling earned his 11th save in 16 chances.
Nova Scotia used the clutch hitting of Ángel Saelices to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Leviathan ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"This is a very good team," said Saelices. "We have the chance to do something special."
Nova Scotia now sits in third place in the Third League at 47-33.
