Victory Pushes Grey Wolves Record to 39-38
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves knocked off the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 10-6, at The Dungeon in Halifax. Javier Caceres, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Vancouver won. The center fielder slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The 5th-place Grey Wolves raised their record to 39-38.
Vancouver needed the clutch hitting of Rafael Maldonado to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 7-6. For the game, Maldonado had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Caceres said after the game.
