Leviathan Come Back Late to Clip Pandas
The Nova Scotia Leviathan defeated the Montana Pandas, 6-5, in Menard's Third League action at The Dungeon in Halifax. Tom Smythe received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 11th-place Pandas have lost 5 straight games.

Huibrecht Bloemheuvel drew 1 walk for Nova Scotia. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tom Warrawong. It was his 37th RBI of the season.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Smythe told reporters after the game.
