Penn on Fire: 5-for-5 for Panama City
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for William Penn as he led the charge to a 14-6 win over the Pandas. The Panama City right fielder was pure misery for the Montana pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Penn put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Andrew Schupick, manager for the Pandas, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
William Penn hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in a run in the 8th.
This year Penn is batting .321 with 96 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 39 times and has batted in 36 runs.
