The Montana Pandas beat the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 11-7, at Great Northern Field. Montana first baseman Danny Trautmann earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Morton Steele, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. Montana bumps their record to 26-32 with the win.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Trautmann delivered big-time for Montana, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Mike Dean. The game-changing hit put the Pandas on top, 11-7.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Pandas manager Andrew Schupick. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
