Wiesblatt, Piranhas Rough Up Outlaws
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Oasiz Wiesblatt, the Panama City Piranhas defeated the Nashville Outlaws, 12-3. Wiesblatt was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Piranhas. Dylan Grandjean was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Piranhas, now 24-16, have won 4 in a row.
Antoine Studdard dealt the Outlaws a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Panama City leading 2-1, Studdard hit a 1-1 forkball for a 2-run double.
"The vibe's good," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante. "We've got to keep it going."
