Campos Goes Off, But Monsters Win
|
Carlos Campos had a good game, but he could not keep the Florida Men from falling, 7-5, to the Monongahela Monsters at Psychos Ballpark. The Florida shortstop slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Elliot Rickard got the win, improving to 9-4. He worked 7 innings, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Monsters saw their record improve to 41-37.
Colt Allen hit a 2-run double off Enrique Cruz in the top of the second, which put the Monsters in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Allen had 2 singles and 2 walks, while going 3 for 4.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Allen.
