The Brass faced a stiff challenge from Hialeah pitcher Elroy Quaid, but persevered to claim a win at Brass Field. The final score was 6-4. Quaid went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Pat Martin was credited with the save for Baton Rouge, his 2nd of the season. Baton Rouge is now 38-32.
In the bottom of the first, Anthony Roosemont hit a run-scoring single for Baton Rouge. The 4th hit of the season for the Baton Rouge center fielder put the Brass on top, 1-0.
"I try to not think too much," said Roosemont.
