The Florida Men relied on the hitting of third baseman Pellervo Rintanen to stop the Baton Rouge Brass, 5-4. For the game, Rintanen was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Millard Whipp earned the save for Florida, his 6th of the year. Florida is now 30-38.
General Booty, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in home runs with 10, aided the Florida cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
