Brass Come Back Late to Clip Men
|
The Baton Rouge Brass did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Florida Men at Brass Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Glenn Underwood, who captured player of the game honors. The Brass improved to 36-31.
John Clark hit a run-scoring triple off Millard Whipp in the bottom of the ninth, which put the Brass in front, 5-4. Clark had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Clark. "And not try to do too much."
