Dodos Edge Flyers, 3-2
|
Getting a good performance from first baseman Charles Josse, the Hialeah Dodos defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2. Josse went 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Dodos. Hialeah reliever Mike Park was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Claudio Martínez. Wendell Drabek earned the save for Hialeah, his 10th of the year.
Hialeah used the timely hitting of Eddie Neef to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodos on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Josse.
The Dodos now have a record of 27-37.
