Warriors Prevail, 3-2, Over Monongahela
|
Forest City Warriors starter Guillermo Guerrero turned in a sterling performance against the Monongahela Monsters, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. In 7.1 innings, Guerrero surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. With the win, the Warriors have a record of 29-31.
Forest City used the timely hitting of Pedro Guerrero to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Warriors on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Monongahela manager Miguel Martínez said following the tough loss.
