Rainbeaus Roll to 8-2 Win Over Squirrel Monkeys
Kansas beat Syracuse on the strength of starter Joe Yoder's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 8-2 win. In 5 innings, Yoder surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Marc Olsen finished the game for Kansas and earned his 1st save.

Kansas used the clutch hitting of Guan-xiu Long to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Rainbeaus the lead, 2-0. For the game, Long had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Long told the Kansas News. "It's as simple as that."

The Rainbeaus improve their record to 34-25 with the win over Syracuse.
