Pitcher Elliot Rickard was sensational for the Monongahela Monsters in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Hialeah Dodos. Rickard received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The winning pitcher was Rickard, now 7-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Wes Gilmore sewed up the save, his 7th.

Monongahela used the timely hitting of Shao Qigang to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Monsters ahead, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Qigang.

Monongahela is 4th in the Silver AAA with a record of 29-25.
