Warriors Top Monsters, 5-2

The Forest City Warriors topped the Monongahela Monsters, 5-2, in USSL Triple A action at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The player of the game was Forest City pitcher and Seattle, Washington native Billy Francis. Francis, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 4 walks. Vicente López earned the save, his 3rd, for the Warriors.
Derek Healey put Forest City in front, 4-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Jang-lu Moy in the top of the third. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"We'll savor this win," Francis told the Forest City Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
The Warriors, now 22-21, have won 4 in a row.
