The Monongahela Monsters bested the Kansas Rainbeaus, 6-4, at Wichita Field. Luis Escribano was named player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Monongahela reliever Joel Baxter picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Clinton Repetto was saddled with the loss. Wes Gilmore sewed up the save, his 3rd.

Monongahela used the timely hitting of Colt Allen to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Monsters on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Escribano. "And not try to do too much."
