The Hamilton Coyotes got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Castillo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pawnee. The ParksNRec won the game, 7-2. In spite of the loss, Castillo was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Pawnee reliever Arie de Nooyer picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jesús Castillo shouldered the loss. With the win over Hamilton, the ParksNRec improved to 20-22.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Cho-yun Yip came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Hamilton pitcher Hansky Paillant, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Pawnee on top, 3-2.

Yip called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
