The Monongahela Monsters topped the Kansas Rainbeaus, 4-2, in USSL Triple A action at Wichita Field. The player of the game was Monongahela pitcher and Omaha, Nebraska native Ean Somoza. Somoza got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Somoza allowed 2 earned runs. Wes Gilmore was credited with the save for Monongahela, his 2nd of the season.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Adam Smith hit a single. The Monsters went on to win.
