Flyers Sneak Past Warriors, 4-3
|
The Pennsauken Flyers faced a tough opponent in Forest City pitcher Guillermo Guerrero, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Pennsauken Park by a final score of 4-3. Guerrero went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Pennsauken reliever Hermenegildo Beliago picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Elliot Roebuck was saddled with the loss. With the win, Pennsauken goes to 23-16, while the Warriors fall to 18-21.
Late in the game, right fielder Rafael Barrueco had a big at-bat for Pennsauken. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Elliot Roebuck. The play gave the Flyers a 4-3 lead.
"This place was electric at the end," Barrueco said.
